The funk-metal band Fresh Fruit started up as Funny Farm. From the start they had this line up; Terje Hongset (bass) Roger Johansen (drums) Jostein Svarstad (guitar) and Ørjan Tverbakk (vocals/guitar) in Bodø, Norway. They started their rehearsals in September 1992, before Johansen quit some weeks later in September. He was quickly replaced by Mads Toftebakk (drums). This line up has been Fresh Fruit ever since. They had their debut at a local rock marathon concert in Bodø at Mørkvedhallen, October 9, 1992. After this concert Tverbakk stopped playing the guitar and focused on the vocals. In December 1992 they won a local talent competition, Rockland 92. In February 1993 they was in studio and recorded a demo with Håvard Christensen as producer. One track from this demo later appeared on Tiddelibom (Bodø Rockeklubb 1979-1994). After several concerts in and outside of Bodø they played their last concert at the well known festival Nordland musikkfestuke at Sinus, Bodø July 31, 1993. After they splitt there has been released an album, and a video DVDr. They have has since had a reunion concert at a jam December 22, 1995 at Sinus, Bodø. Since then nothing before the news broke that they are planing a reunion concert later this year (2018).
