Austrian pianist and piano pedagogue, born 29 June 1900 in Vienna, Austria; died 27 December 1975 in Mannheim, Germany. After his studies at the Vienna Academy he had engagements as a teacher in Mannheim, Kiel, Vienna and at the Mozarteum Salzburg. From 1955 he taught at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich. He is the father of violinist Friedrich Wührer (2).
