The german Black Metal band Frostkrieg was formed in 1991 by Arctos and Necromoon. Frostkrieg is numbered among the "second-generation" Black Metal bands from Germany (after early Sodom, Destruction, Poison, Kreator etc.). During the 1990s the band strictly released limited demo tapes, which are nowadays highly coveted by collectors. Their 1994 Demo tape "Necromantic Winter Visions" was re-released in 2004 by Kerker Durcets Prod.. Several songs from the "Tape-period" also appeared on the EP "Verwesung", which was released as a 3-way Split in 2002, and on the full-length CD "Majestätik eines kalten Elements".
