A.k.a. Black Needle Noise
English producer, engineer and occasional musician, born 1958 in London. Fryer started his career in 1979 as an assistant mixing engineer at Blackwing Studios (London). In 1981 he got the opportunity to produce Fad Gadget's "Incontinent". After that he has worked with numerous artists, including Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode, MARRS, Clan Of Xymox, Nine Inch Nails, Die Krupps, This Mortal Coil and Love And Rockets. Started Something To Listen To Records in 2003. Black Needle Noise is the new musical project of John Fryer, launched in 2015.
