Funeral Horse

Band,
Rock

Funeral Horse started out as a terrible idea between three unemployable pothead music hobbyists in Houston, Texas to now being a really terrible idea between three unemployable pothead music hobbyists who categorize themselves as a stoner metal band. The band often plays for weed, sandwiches (optional) and cheap liquor to anyone within earshot. As their "songs" developed, the group fine-tuned their ability to display of utter contempt for dynamics, professionalism and silence as it aggressively planted itself rudely right between the eyes and ears of the audience and barely moved from that position. Their debut release was recorded in a small studio in the backwoods of Texas with an engineer that had worked with the original Crickets line up! In support of their debut release, the band toured across the Southern United States – hailing down their never-ending cascade of sonic punishment at inconsiderate volumes to their screaming fans (e.g., venue bartender, random homeless person and parties of drunken whorish bridesmaids). Artificial Head Records, displaying an astonishing lack of judgment, signed up Funeral Horse for their second album – Sinister Rites of the Master. The album was released in an edition of 333 copies pressed on random coloured vinyl. In support of the new LP, Funeral Horse once again scheduled themselves for touring across the United States from May to August of 2014 with plans on drafting their first novel, Emergency Rooms We Have Known, after the tour.
