Single US 2017 on Rock Steady Records label
Rock
In November 1987, the Minneapolis-based rock group Funhouse, along with their producer, original David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars guitarist Mick Ronson, were the first artists to utilize and record at Prince's legendary Paisley Park recording studio in Chanhassen, MN. Producer Mick Ronson was quoted at the time as saying Funhouse guitarist "Brynn Arens is the best natural guitar player I have seen in years." Once the recordings were finished, Ronson picked "Irresponsibility" along with "Twisted Heart" as his favorite songs from the recording sessions. "Irresponsibility," and the seven other songs tracked during these recording sessions, were originally intended to have been released via Herb Gart's The Rainbow Collection label. Until this point, only the track "Twisted Heart" has been released. Now, in late 2017, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of those mostly never-before heard sessions, Rocksteady Records is pleased to issue "Irresponsibility" as an exclusive, digital-only single!
