Tracks 1-1 to 1-4 & 2-1 to 2-4: this live recording was made during Günter Wand's last concert tour with the NDR Symphony Orchestra, with venues in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Wuppertal. Tracks 2-6, 2-8, 2-10 & 2-12: excerpts from the interview in Ulmiz (CH), 30. November 2001. Track 2-5, 2-7: live recording January 1996 (available on CD 09026 68503 2) Track 2-9: live recording April 2001 (available on CD 74321 89717 2) Track 2-11: live recording May 1995 (available on CD 09026 68452 2) Track 2-13: live recording September 1998 (available on CD 74321 90114 2) In honour of their much-revered conductor Günter Wand, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra made the recorded extracts heard int he interview available for this CD.
