Electronic and Jazz
In 2006 a collective going by the moniker of G-Swing - a gathering of remixers at the heart of the action brought together by Basenotic's Romain BNO and Etienne Mignard - are re-inventing a dance-floor-oriented swing for the new millennium that's electro, house and jazzy all at once. Deploying original samples as jumping-off points (featuring the original vocals of Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone as well as special guests such as electro-princess Ania or Pedro Almodovar's incredible muse, Rossy De Palma), inspired remixers such as Romain BNO, Lindstrom and Joakim are proud to present a compilation of totally re-invented swing hits that they have cooked up in their project studios. Contributing Remixers: DJ Brame, Le Major Melon, Jimi Bazzooka, Lindstrom, Ludovic Allen, Berry Dept, Marcovitch and Itchy Mango.
