Gabe was active in a band called the Molested, snotty punk in the vein of Regan Youth and Bad Religion, in the late 90’s. This exposure to underground punk introduced him to hardcore, and by 2001 he was playing bass for Houston hardcore heavyweights Will to Live. During his time with Will to Live, Gabe started a side project that would go onto become a mainstay in the Houston underground scene; Pride Kills. Through touring and multiple releases, Pride Kills was able to help attract attention to the regional hardcore scene that was blossoming in Texas through the early and mid 2000’s. He is currently playing with Idiot City; their sound is a mix of early hardcore/oi/ and rock & roll that features members of Career Criminal, PIX, and Ten Crowns.
