Gabriel Mekler

Singer / Songwriter / Producer of Rock and Pop

American songwriter and producer (born in 1942 in Israel - died in 1977). He attained fame in the 1960s, producing albums for Steppenwolf, Three Dog Night, Janis Joplin and Etta James among others. In 1971, Mekler founded his own labels, Vulture Records (3) and Lizard Records (11), based in Los Angeles. But despite national chart success both labels collapsed in 1972.
