Ganbaru is a hardcore punk band from Melbourne, Australia. Forming in 2008, the band has faced challenges at every turn, from car accidents and lineup changes to legal action, and has faced these challenges head on. Forced to change their name in 2014, the band chose "Ganbaru," the Japanese word meaning “to commit oneself fully to a task and to bring that task to an end.” Ganbaru have toured relentlessly throughout Australia and South-East Asia, with a reputation built on energy, enthusiasm, musicianship and intelligent, well-considered lyrics.
