Film music and label executive, producer, publisher, jazz bassist and vocalist, based in Los Angeles, California. In 1986 he was hired as the President of Music at Warner Bros. film studio, position he held for 23 years. In addition he has worked as Executive Vice President at Columbia Pictures (1982-1986). In addition to his work in film, LeMel has held the position of Senior Vice President at Casablanca Records (1978-1981) and Boardwalk Records, Inc. (1981-1982). In 1997 he was promoted to President, Worldwide Music for Warner Bros. and appointed to CEO of Warner Sunset Records. As a musician LeMel has worked with such artists as Anita O'Day, Peggy DeCastro, and The Merry Macs since 1958. His first solo album was released in 1964 through Vee Jay Records. In 1997 he released his "comeback" CD, "Romancing The Screen". In 1999 he signed with Atlantic, and released two albums, "Moonlighting" (1999) and "Lost In Your Arms" (2001).
