Gary Fisher is an artist who’s work explores sound through processes of investigation and inquiry responding to objects, actions, words and places. The works take the forms of recordings, installations and visual pieces. He composes and performs with sounds using various approaches and combinations of analogue and digital technologies. He likes to explore found objects, and found sounds. He makes his own instruments and electronics and finds his own ways to use existing instruments. He likes to treat sounds as materials and materials as potential sound-makers. Gary has an Masters in Sound Arts from University of The Arts London. He has exhibited and performed in galleries, living rooms, pubs, disused shops and public places including: A Plus A Gallery Venice, The White Cube London with Christian Marclay, Thurston Moore and London Sinfonietta, Futuresonic Festival Manchester 2009, Manchester Literature Festival 2017 and Manchester Science Festival 2018.
