Former photojournalist, since 2009 he has been Assistant Manager of Photography for the University of North Texas. He has also worked for Arlington Morning News (2000-2001), Odessa American (2001-2003), Denton Record-Chronicle (2004-2009). From 2003-2016 he was also a freelance photographer for various publications which include The Dallas Morning News, Associated Press, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the San Antonio Express-News etc.
