From Wikipedia: Gaspare Gabellone [alternatively spelt Caballone, Cabelone, Gabbelone and Gabaldone] (12 April 1727 - 22 March 1796), was an Italian composer, born in Naples, son of Michele Caballone. He studied music from 1738 at the Conservatory of Santa Maria di Loreto in Naples, where he studied singing and composition under the tutelage of Francesco Durante . He began composing operas in 1757, composing and staging some comic operas at Teatro Nuovo of Naples. From 1780 he devoted himself exclusively to the composition of sacred music, in which he acquired considerable success among his contemporaries. He died in Naples.
