Singer / Producer of Jazz and Pop
US jazz singer. Producing only one LP, as a result of the insistence of the theatrical producer Dick Kellmarr, who was also the owner of the bistro "The Left Bank" where she sang before recording. Gayle Andrews varied and professional singing engagement ranged from the theater and club dates at the Perseverance Club in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to the famous Rustic Cabin in New Jersey, well known for the name bands (and incidentally managed by Gayle). The trail lead from the Bellevue Theater in Paramariba, Suriname to her own Night n' Gayle Room at the Pin Up Resaraunt in New York City. Gayle also sang her way through Georgetown, British Guiana, San Juan, Puerto Rico and other ports of call along the Spanish Main. Her versatility won her a straight acting role in Warner Brothers "Marjorie Mornington".
