Single US on 49th State Hawaii Record Co. label
Pop, Folk, World and (Pacific, Vocal)
While primarily known as a musician, composer, and arranger, Gene Roland takes on the vocalist role for "Hawaiian Teenage Girl". While it may be considered "hapa haole" in style, it is loosely rock'n'roll, as it was composed by Bob Bertram, founder of Bertram International Records. The B-side is by Genoa Keawe & Her Hula Maids. Initial pressing with maroon label. Photo supplied by @acousticbug.
