Soul & gospel singer & backing vocalist from Washiington, D.C. Niece of gospel performer Reverend Julius Cheeks and cousin of singer Judy Cheeks. Between 1979 - 1981 she has released three gospel albums at Savoy Records and in 1986, one modern soul album at RCA. She has recoded three duets with Glenn Jones, "Not Just For Today" (1981, "Keep On Doin'" (1983) and "Together" (1986) Her gospel nickname is Doosie.
