Genom. The drum & bass duo from Poland. They started making music few years ago placing own tunes on the Internet as a promo mixes or giving them to friendly local DJs. After being recognized with their own spacious and technical sound they started DJing playing own tunes together with an older tracks that in their opinion shaped drum and bass. Thanks to few live radio shows including Nocny Trans, a legendary Polish d&b broadcast, "Dodeskaden" series and a lot of live events they showed themselves not only as a talented producers but also as a very good DJs, who don’t avoid connecting different kind of music in their mixes. At the beginning of 2008 they officially published their first tunes called “Ikari to Run” and “Fresh Air” thanks to SUBSTANCE Recordings, Polish label owned by DJs Abuse and Mashed. Both tunes opened the door to worldwide scene, especially atmospheric “Fresh Air” which was played by ASC and DJ Haze from Red Mist Recordings. Result of their approbation of Genom sound were another two releases: “Adventure Island” for Covert Operations and “Northend Aura” at Red Mist double CD compilation called The Sixth Extinction.
