Artist Portrait

George Graves

Mastering Engineer. Began his career with RCA Studios, Hollywood, then DCT Recorders before getting a job from Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab. In 1974 he moved his family to Toronto, Ontario to work at J.A.M.F. (Just Another Mastering Facility.) After a few years the work became sparce and he was forced to work other jobs until Paul Gross offered him mastering work at Phase One Studios. He would then follow Paul when he opened his own mastering house which eventually became The Lacquer Channel. He started there in 1978, where he still works to this day.
