US-American singer, songwriter and producer born in Ocilla, Georgia but generally connected to the NY/NJ area. He sang lead for Little Anthony & The Imperials prior to learning production from Raynoma Liles Gordy. Kerr wrote and/or produced artists including Linda Jones, The Whatnauts, Manhattans, Lonnie Youngblood, The Escorts, Phyllis Hyman, Eddie Fisher (2), and especially for the roster of Sylvia Robinson's All Platinum. He is the father of Sandy Kerr and Tracy Kerr.
