A.k.a. George E. Lee And His Novelty Singing Orchestra
George E. Lee And His Orchestra is considered to be one of the pioneering groups in the Kansas City jazz scene of early '20s. Competition between George E. Lee and Bennie Moten's jazz groups was especially strong. Both groups were making money and fighting to obtain the services of the city's best musicians, causing a lot of musicians from Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas to relocated to the booming new scene in Kansas City.
