Romanian composer, arranger, conductor, teacher and folklorist born October 26, 1919, Lipova, Arad County - died September 15, 1992, Bucharest. Over the years managed to collect, transcribe, harmonize, orchestrate, conduct and record over 3000 Romanian folk songs, collected from the Banat (Radna, Făget, Lipova areas), Valea Vișeului, Valea Izei, Valea Marei and the entire area of Maramureș.
