Music Composed And Conducted by Georges Delerue Additional Conducting by Frank Fitzpatrick (Disc 1. Tracks 4 & 7) And (Disc 2 Track 1) Recorded May 1989 at Abbey Road Studios, London. Double CD reissue with reuse of original Bob Peak artwork from Vol.1 of the original London Sessions album released in 1989. This set was especially notable and still is for unreleased music to the films (at the time and still to this day) A Little Sex, Rich And Famous, Maxie, Her Alibi, Man, Woman And Child, Exposed, Maid To Order, The Pick-Up Artist, Memories Of Me, Biloxi Blues and more importantly featured a suite from his famous rejected score to the 1983 Disney film, Something Wicked This Way Comes, which was the major highlight of the series.This special CD Club release condences the original three Volume set of albums released by Varese between 1989 and 1991 also featuring exceptional artwork by Bob Peak. Only the recordings that took place during those May 1989 sessions are available on this set and eliminates the additional original soundtrack album recordings which included suites of True Confessions, An Almost Perfect Affair, Agnes Of God and Delerue's Oscar winning 1979 score to A Little Romance which were used to pad out those original albums lengthwise. True Confessions, An Almost Perfect Affair, Agnes of God and A Little Romance were later reissued in complete form by the label as either Varese Club releases or regular releases after these original Volumes were released. Most of this material also appeared on another Varese 2 Disc compilation dedicated to the composer entitled Georges Delerue: Great Composers in 2001 with additional scores he recorded and released after 1990 including Suites of Black Robe and Delerue's last composed and recorded score for Rich In Love, in which the composer tragically passed away right on the scoring stage in 1992 after its' completion. This is the definitive edition of these wonderful recordings from the late composer. However it is not complete as a second track recorded "Her Alibi" from London Sessions Volume 1 arranged by Frank Fitzpatrick is not ported over to this release. Limited Edition of 1000 copies.
