American composer born in 1942 in New Jersey (USA), based in Switzerland since the late 60s. He worked at the IRCAM, International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (ICEM) and at the Hochschule for Music in Zurich among others. In 1985 he founded, with Bruno Spoerri, the Swiss Center for Computer Music. In 2005 he founded and directed the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology at the Hochschule Musik und Theater, Zurich.
