Guitarist Gerry “Phareaux” Felton was born in Hattiesburg, Miss., and moved to Austin in the early Eighties. He was co-leader of 'The Commandos' and an original member of 'Omar & the Howlers'. He died in 2007 at his home in Albuquerque.
