Gertuda Munitić (30th July, 1939, Omiš, Croatia) - is a famous opera singer and primadonna of the Sarajevo Opera House for over 30 years. Her brother is Ante Munitić. She comes from a famous Split musical family. Very early her family moves to Split, where her father works as tenor singer in the Split Opera Houss. After finishing grammar and secondary music school (piano & cello) in Split, Gertruda studies singing in the class of prof. Petar Marković. Recognised as a natural talent she already perfoms at the age of 13, destined soon to become famous world-wide by her notable opera roles - from Gilde in "Rigoletto", her outstanding "Traviata" performance as well as the role of Lucie di Lammermoor and Little Floramy ("Mala Floramy", an operetta by Ivo Tijardović). As a singer she gained international fame and popularity, her name was introduced into the 4. edition of the international address book of famous people (Member of the World Institute of Achievement) of the American Biographical Institute.
