Musician of Dance
A.k.a. Gianmarco Ghiandoni
Gianmarco Ghiandoni (also known as Ghianda) was born in 1990 in Perugia, a small town in central Italy. Since he was a child he shows a strong attraction to music, beginning to take piano lessons and later starting to compose something more concrete by using sequencers and software. Following dispassionately radio programs and, "from a distance", the life of underground clubs in central Italy, his interests move to music genres more tending on progressive-techno and dance; however he shows a great love for the rock. In 2005 he joined the small “electronic” staff of the Red Zone, a famous club in central Italy, and there he meets Riccardo Alessandri (Pech) and Marco Negozio (Neg) and start having an interest in international djing and club culture. In time he concretises a real passion for breakbeat and experimental music and with the help of the two friends begins the design of a new independent label: Technowagon Recordings (www.myspace.com/technowagon). The birth of the digital label, due to more willingness to express and share with the rest of the world their passion without compromises, materialized in 2007 when they begin to collaborate in writing and production of electronic tracks. Currently, his work has focused on the development of Technowagon and on eventual productions on other independent labels. His style, based on electronic sounds more or less soft, ranges greatly from breakbeat to techno and provides a real mixture of sounds and sweet melodies, from the music for bedroom to the powerful bassline for the club. Along the way, he also join to several collaborative projects with friends such as Aromatics and The Incompatibles.
