A.k.a. Maria Respeto
The original Giggles was Maria Respeto, who co-wrote and sang the original Giggles track, "Love Letter". She also sang on the Giggles track "Hot Spot". Though her Myspace site indicates that she also sang the entire album that followed, "He Loves Me...He Loves Me Not", it has been speculated that she is not the singer on most of the tracks, including the singles "He Said She Said" and "What Goes Around Comes Around". Though the voice on those tracks sounds different than the earlier Giggles tracks, she is indeed credited with vocals on the singles and is the singer of those tracks as well. Apparently Charlie 'Rock' Jimenez owns the Giggles name and has had several singers take the name since. Currently a woman named Marla G uses the name and tours as Giggles, and Maria Respeto now records as Maria "Giggles" Respeto.
