Sung in Swedish. Live recording at Kungliga Teatern, Stockholm, August 29, 1939, on Stille-Marconi steel band machines. Transferred to 51 78 r.p.m. lacquer disks in March 1940. Produced 1978 SRLP 1272 and 1273 on labels, RMLP 1272/3 on back of box and spine of box With a 16-page booklet with notes and libretto, both in Swedish only. The performance was the debut for Hjördis Schymberg, with Jussi Björling as guest artist in the role of Alfredo.
