Band,
Musician of Hip-Hop/Rap and Rock
Given was formed in 1996 in South Houston by drummer Jason Thomas, guitarist Jason Wiginton & singer Jaime Treadwell. The band quickly made a name for themselves in the underground scene and even traveled to Wisconsin to play The Milwaukee Metal Fest. The band released their debut album, "ENGINE", in 1997 after adding guitarist Brad Braffett to the line up, and soon started headlining their own shows and opening up for National Acts such as Clutch, Gwar, Chemlab, Madball, Tree, Snot, Cold, Boy Hits Car and many others. The band made their final line up change in 1998, by adding bassist Sonny D., and began working on new songs in preparation for the second CD. They were soon scouted and offered a contract by Culture Core Records, and began recording in Austin, TX with Mark Dufour, who played drums for Skrew and The Skatnigs. The new CD, entitled "THE CURRENT, THE KILL, THE ECLIPSE", is Given's finest work to date, and as they continue to grow musically, and spread the word nationally, Given has vowed to stop at nothing short of being successful in the music industry.
