Artist Portrait

Glenn Miller

acc, *1966 GB
Folk, Rock and World

Born: 24th September 1966, Durham, England. Founded The Whisky Priests in 1985 with his twin brother Gary (they were once referred to by a UK journalist as “the Joe Strummer and Mick Jones of Folk Music”). Glenn Miller's self-taught and unique accordion playing style has always been recognised as the trademark of The Whisky Priests sound. Once described by another music journalist as “The Jimi Hendrix of the accordion” he is a truly natural and gifted performer. “Glenn's accordion (and arranging skills) puts their songs into another realm.” (‘Q’ Magazine, UK) Following the dissolution of The Whisky Priests in 2004, he retired from the music industry and began a new career outside music.
