b. Durban, South Africa on 27 April 1931 d. Vamos, Crete, Greece on 2 April 2014 Glyn Jones was a South African actor, writer and director. He was one of the main scriptwriters for the 1970-71 British children's TV series "Here Come the Double Deckers" as well as script editor. A well known television screenwriter (Doctor Who, The Gold Robbers) he has also acted in films, television and radio and directed, produced and written many plays and was a successful author, in a career spanning almost sixty years.
