Play a popular music preserved and perpetuated by blacks, slaves who came from West Africa and settled in North Africa. in Morocco, they are well known, prosperous and well respected. These musicians and dancer gather together in a brotherhood called a gnawa (gnaoua). This brotherhood is famous and is now known for its capacities for musical exorcism. The repertoire is nothing other than a ritual that slowly leads to a trance. The ritual is surrounded by animal sacrifices and fumigating incense.
