A.k.a. Gottschalk
Gottschalk was founded in 2011 by the danish singer and songwriter MariaGottschalk. She gathered the band and started working on tunes and developing her music. The music has a light and dusty sound and Marias songwriting mixes a feminin frailty with a more rough attitude. Since Maria was 6 years old she played classical piano and she still uses the delicate elements in her songwriting combining them with beats. Maria writes about strengh, frailty, people, good and bad accidents, life and about being human. When Gottschalk started working with the danish producer Kasper Rasmussen (Annika Aakjær, Penny Police, Folkeklubben, Where did Nora go) it gave Maria a friendly push and a belief in her own music. Together they recorded two EP's "Let The Sun Shine On Me This Time" and "Heart Undercover". Both released by herself independent from recordlabels. The last EPs 1.single "Heart Undercover" made it to the national radio in Denmark and she has been touring around Denmark, also supporting the danish singer Lise Westzynthius on her tour in the fall 2012.
