Australian-born sound engineer, record producer and label owner who was instrumental in establishing the Jamaican recording industry. Goodall co-founded Island Records with Chris Blackwell in 1962, as well as helping to create the Federal Records Studio, and Dynamic Sounds Studios (formerly Wirl Studio). He launched the Doctor Bird, Sioux Records (3), and Pyramid (2) labels, whilst producing such artists as Desmond Dekker & The Aces (Fu Manchu), Laurel Aitken, and Symarip's 'Skinhead Moonstomp'. Born: 1932, Melbourne, Australia. Died: 3rd December 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. (natural causes, aged 82)
