Band, *2001 DK, Copenhagen
Rock
Danish rock band formed in 2001 by vocalist and guitarist Rasmus Walter Hansen, guitarist Niels-Kristian Bærentzen, drummer Hjalte Thygesen, and bassist Marc Charles Stebbing. Lead single "What's on Your Mind" from self-titled debut album Grand Avenue (2003) became "Ugens Uundgåelige", the most played song on Danish public service radio, for one week. The band moved to New York in 2005 where they recorded second album She from which the title song became part of the sound track for the British movie "Cashback". The title song of third album The Outside (2007) became another "Ugens Uundgåelige" in home country Denmark. The band's last album to date is Place To Fall, released in 2009. Walter Hansen embarked on a solo career under the stage name of Rasmus Walter in 2011 and the band has been on a hiatus since then.
