Music for tracks 1, 3, 7, 14 from Coelacanth (2005). Music for tracks 2, 11 from A Supercollider for the Family (1997). Music for tracks 4, 6, 8, 15 from Not Everything is Significant (2008). Music for tracks 5, 9, 10, 13 from Three Wishes (2001). Music for track 12 from Black Cocktail (2004). Music for track 16 from Last Week with Modolia (1998). Music for track 17 from Poppy Day (1999). All the music included on Almost the Right People was written for, or featured in, live theatre shows by UK playwright Ben Moor, several of which have subsequently been broadcast by the BBC. This compilation album marks thirteen years of collaboration between members of SOTT and the UK writer Ben Moor. Half the tracks are performed by SOTT, the other half by Grand Western (a more pop, less rock band that Simon Oakes and Rob Havis formed for a while in-between Peach and Suns of the Tundra, along with singer Kirsten France.
