Grant Birchard
Born and raised in West Chester, PA, Grant was an avid musician from an early age. He came to faith at Church of Saviour in 1980 and, after 12 years serving another church, was recruited in 1992 to help start a new contemporary worship service. The ministry grew very quickly and at its peak has provided upwards of nine worship teams supporting the Praise Team-led services at Church of the Saviour, which are his main oversight. Grant started his degree in music education at West Chester University from '80-'84 planning to be a music teacher. But touring as a keyboardist for gospel and contemporary Christian groups, as well as being a producer/engineer in the recording industry, he redirected his vocations at the beginning of his career. He completed a BA in General Music at Eastern University at age 49 and has recently completed his 22nd year joyfully serving Church of the Saviour's worship ministry.
