Released both by Mission Social Club Records and All In Vinyl Plain and simple, Great Apes are a new punk band from San Francisco. Minimalism reigns. Play it fast, play it loud, and make it stick. Whilst they've all been in (or are in) an array of more complex projects, this band is founded on pop-sensible simplicity and the notion that music, much like a bio, is often at its finest when it’s spit out intensely, with concision and honesty. Daikon, also from San Francisco, are a 3 piece who play punk-tinged indie rock. A well kept California secret, who are sure to impress fans of bands like Candy Hearts, Failures Union and Lemuria.
