Gregor Meyer studied choral conducting and church music in Leipzig under, among others, Arvid Gast, Roland Börger, Martin Schmeding, David Timm, and Morten Schuldt-Jensen. As a student he has already worked as a choral director with ensembles of different sizes and specialities. In the autumn of 1999, for example, he founded the Vocalconsort Leipzig and established the soloist ensembles Concerto Sacro and Opella Musica. In addition, Gregor Meyer was awarded a scholarship by the Friends of the Leipzig Academy of Music and Theater.
