Grinder changed their name to Capricorn (Ger) in 1991 and released 2 albums under that name. After Capricorn (Ger) split up Stefan Arnold joined Grave Digger. Biography: A German speed metal band whose name obviously resulted from a worship of Judas Priest (whose nippy late-'70s classics "Running Wild" and "Hell Bent for Leather" -- though not, ironically, the song "Grinder" itself -- arguably represented the first examples of speed metal), Grinder got lost in the shuffle of superior bands like Sodom, Destruction, and Kreator. Founded in 1985 in the city of Frankfurt and featuring vocalist/bassist Adrian Hahn, drummer Stefan Arnold, and guitarists Andy Ergün and Lario, Grinder released 1988's Dawn for the Living and 1989's Dead End on the tiny No Remorse label before hooking up with German powerhouse Noise Records for 1991's final-gasp LP, Nothing Is Sacred. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
