Gruppo Padovano Di Protesta Nazionale

Band,
Rock

In the 1974 five young people of Fronte Della Gioventù (National Youth Front) and Fronte Universitario Di Azione Nazionale (Universal Front Of National Action) of Padua: Loris Lombroni, Fabio Ragno, Gigi Toso, and Mario Bortoluzzi unite talent and passion for the music giving life to the first true band of alternative music: the Gruppo Padovano Di Protesta Nazionale (Paduan Group Of National Protest). The first exhibitions of the band began in the autumn of 1974 in the dusty places of the Fronte Della Gioventù of Padua. Between mimeograph and flags, they were tried to play "Padova 17 giugno" (written in memory of Giuseppe Mazzola and Graziano Giralucci), "La ballata del nero", "Storia di una S.S.", "Hey Jo", "Corri, fratello", "Jan Palach" and "La foiba di San Giuliano". In the concenrtis Gigi Toso, that didn't sing, introduced the band on the notes of "Knockin' on heaven's door" by Bob Dylan, played the banjo and Loris Lombroni, Fabio Ragno and Mario Bortoluzzi played the guitar. In December of 1975 it instigated him to Padua the repression against the Fronte Della Gioventù, with about ten searches and arrests the activists. Sergio Bevivino (to which will be dedicated "A Piero") is arrested and then between January and February of 1976 other boys among which and Mario Bortoluzzi, while Fabio Ragno is reported only. Accused by the magistracy for reconstitution of Partito Nazionale Fascista (National Fascist Party) and tried, Fabio Ragno is acquitted and Mario Bortoluzzi and are condemned to one year and seven months the first (it will go out after six months) one and to two years and seven months the second (it will go out after one year and a half). Of the components of the alone band Loris Lombroni and Fabio Ragno go out uninjured from the investigations. In the autumn of 1976, to the place of still prisoner and of Loris Lombroni that he was transferred in Messina, they enter the band Paolo Favero and Junio Guariento that they gave two very beautiful voices to the Gruppo Padovano Di Protesta Nazionale and you mock that well soon they would have entered the heart of many. In December new formation begins in Rome at the theater of the muses in what is also the only and last concert of Gruppo Padovano Di Protesta Nazionale where Paolo Favero sings for the first time "Boia chi molla" (what it will engrave then with the Zetapiemme's in which it will meet subsequently). In 1977, for different problems Fabio Ragno, Gigi Toso and Paolo Favero leave the band that loosens him. In June of 1977 the solos Mario Bortoluzzi and Junio Guariento introduce him to "Campi Hobbit" festival ("Field Hobbit") under the tolkienian denomination of Compagnia Dell'Anello (Fellowship Of The Ring).
