Guerrilla Seca (GCK), is a group of the underground hip hop genre. It was created in 1996 by Arvei Angulo Rivas, better known as El Prieto, from one of the largest neighborhoods in all of Latin America, Petare, and Gustavo Ferrin, better known as Rekesón, a native of another of the most popular neighborhoods in the country. city, Catia. One located to the east and the other to the west of the Venezuelan capital. Guerrilla Seca musical style Guerrilla Seca focused on crudely portraying the reality of the Venezuelan neighborhood without pretending apologies or moralisms, through a hard and direct hip-hop, which undoubtedly is shown as a blow to the conscience of the listeners of the genre. It is not strange that "I want to make money", "Black Malandreo", "Castillo Eterno", "Latinoting", among others, were difficult pieces to ignore. Thanks to their lyrics and sound environments, it was possible to look out at what happens up hill and undertake a dangerous journey to the subjectivity of those who many prefer to call "marginal". "They have to accept that we are different, when we live in a neighborhood, when the shots sound and when they point you at guns, it's important to talk about our problems instead of making dance songs with commercial themes." Millions and fame are useless if we do not leave a message, "Rekesón commented in an interview from the Rock & Folk studios in Caracas. "Now without a record label to slow us down, the Guerrilla Seca public will enjoy the most honest and personal production we have ever made Free But Prisoner is a gift to all our fans who gave us their unconditional support, thank you for your patience," he added. The Pietro while refining the last details of a production. Beginnings of the Dry Guerrilla Precisely from where many thought that everything was lost, from there arise one of the most impressive Venezuelan musical groups in history in hip hop: Guerrilla Seca. The first meeting between Rekeson and El Pietro was in mid-1996 in the disco "Status" of the Chacaito Shopping Center. According to the legend, after a night of rumba, both exponents launched a freestyle round on the outskirts of the album, with the birth of Guerrilla Seca sealed in words. Musical trajectory of Guerrilla Seca In those days, they were part of the movement of the Los Próceres Park. In that place the hip-hop scene from different sectors of Caracas coincided to give free rein to breakdance, skateboarding and, of course, rap. In a short time, Rekeson and Colombia (how he also called himself El Prieto) became a reference in that environment. They even called several enthusiasts who came to propose to finance their first production. Little by little their rhythms were perfected, nothing happened from the record point of view until they were linked to the Venezuelan Subterranea label. In principle, the nascent "record label" aimed to shoot a short film about the Los Próceres movement. This project ended being a documentary of the hip hop movement of the time, accompanied by a remarkable soundtrack. The documentary "Venezuela Subterránea" was screened in several halls of the country and had excellent reviews by specialists. However, the real phenomenon was the soundtrack. By the work and grace of the contemporary channels of mass diffusion (piracy and Internet) the compilation album "Venezuela Subterránea", launched in 2003, catapulted the talent of Guerrilla Seca to the audiences. Without a doubt it was the disc of the year with a key production to understand all the musical move that would develop years later. He also went with "Castillo Eterno" and "Venezuela Llora", which made it very clear that they still had a lot to tell and his first solo album "The Most Real Reality" released in 2003 gave certainty to that suspicion. The superhit "I'm Going to Make Silver" along with other pieces like "El Hampa Arrived" and "When There's Drugs and Money" showed that they could play on the radio without losing their strong social commitment. Later, they would become independent with the album "Yo Contra El Mundo / Playing Alive" released in 2006, an ambitious double album produced separately by each of the members although presented under the name Guerrilla Seca. From there came hits like "Oh No", "You Know How It Is", "I Sing" and "Wait", which over time were kept in rotations of radios across the country. Subsequently, they present the world with the album "Libre Pero Preso", without another producer than themselves. With this new work they express all the experience gained after eleven years of travel in all corners of the country, alone and in the company of international artists such as Manu Chao, Don Omar and Orishas and a good part of the Venezuelan music scene. Said dsco was recorded by Sebastian Nuñez A.K.A. Sebas Play at Rock & Folk studios and mixed by Iván Higa A.K.A. Dr. H in the Machine Room Studio and mastered in New York at the Sterling Sound facility. The engineer in charge of the mastering of "Libre Pero Preso" was Chris Gehringer, master of important artists such as Wu tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, NAS, Shaggy, Wisin & Yandel, Don Omar, Nelly Furtado, among a large list of artists. In 2008 they decide to separate by personal differences, leaving a bitter drink in the duo's fans. It should be noted that El Prieto soon started a track with the track "I Was Left With The Song", where he expressed his point of view regarding the trajectory he had together with his former partner. Then he released his video clip "Petare Barrio de Pakistan" Part I and then the continuation. In response to this, Rekeson demonstrated with a theme entitled "I stayed with the Bank", but extending with a duration of 17 minutes. Soon after he released his first record as a soloist, which he titled "The Astronaut" (2010). Also, Reke was popularizing his style and releasing video clips as was the case of: "Idol", "Loco" (With Juan Manaure), "OVNI", "Súbelo" and "Se Acabó El Tiempo" (With Neka One and Ronko )
