Liner Notes are published in a 16 page booklet which includes a portrait of Gustav Holst and of André Previn, a long synopsis of The Planets in english, german and french, as well as detailed recording information: The Planets - recorded at Kingsway Hall, 28-29 November 1973 The Ballet from "The Perfect Fool" and Egdon Heath - recorded at N°1 Studio, Abbey Road, 3-4 August 1974 Producers: Christopher Bishop, John Willan Recording Engineers: . --------------------------------------------- NOTE on this release: This was one of EMI's very few attempts at the DVD-Audio format published in 2001. It was published as a two-sided disc, with: - Side A - DVD-V (readable on any DVD player) at 24/96 resolution (stereo) and - Side B - DVD-Audio (readable only on DVD-Audio compatible players (this includes a number of Blu-Ray players) with the same tracks at 24/96 resolution (stereo and multi-channel) encoded in MLP. This disc can be read on all DVD (note: and Blu-Ray) players and will play at 24/96 resolution stereo, but will only play the multi-channel section on DVD-Audio (and some Blu-Ray) players.
