First-performance rights given to New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Connecticut (spelt incorrectly on Side 1 label as "Newhaven"), who gave the first modern performance on January 13 1970. Pierre Boulez obtained first-recording rights, and gave the first UK public performance of the work on 21 April 1970 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Waldmärchen poem by Gustav Mahler. Translation on sleeve by James Fleming. Sleeve: Shorepak by Shorewood Packaging Co. Ltd., Aylesbury, England. Record Made in England.
