Composer
Guy Massey was Vernon Dalhart's cousin. He is the disputed composer, or co-composer, or appropriator (depending on the source) of "The Prisoner's Song", a huge hit of the 1920's. Vernon Dalhart borrowed this name to record several sides that were released on the Pathé Actuelle & Perfect (3) labels in 1924-25. Those releases should be attributed to the Guy Massey (3) alias of Vernon Dalhart.
