Romanian comedy actor, writer with greek origins ✰ 1908, Constanța ✞ Late 1980's, București Graduated Conservatory of Theatre and Film Bucharest, class of Maria Filotti. His father Nicolae, attended school in Constantinople. Paternal grandparents, Manole and Vasilichi were Greeks from Mangalia. Manole grandfather owned for a time a responsible position in the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Maternal grandparents, Hristu and Elena were Greeks from Tulcea. Grandmother Elena have origins in Ithaca island, for which the actor's mother was named Penelope.
