The CD „Brasil“,produced by the South Tyrolian jazzband „Haga Zussa“,ist the result of a project with compositions from the „Musica Popular Brasiliera“ (MPB) The band musicians, who play together in this line up since 15 years, were always enthusiastic about brasilian culture and the bossa nova music. Because of the friendship oft he band singer Sandro Grinzato with the brasilian singer Maria Ivete Nascimento de Souza enthusiasm became a project. Important impulses to realise this project came also from the piano player and arranger Maurizio De Gasperi. Under the competent direction of the music producer and audio engineer Gregor Marini the studio recording started in january 2018 and was finished in the summer oft he same year. During the studio work there was born the idea, to integrate a brasilian children´s choir in the project. Through the agency of Ivete De Souza the „Coral de crincias de Sao Paulo“, a choir within a social project for children, was willing to garantee a authenic brasilian input to he CD project. Die Jazz Band, die in der aktuellen Besetzung seit 15 Jahren besteht, hatte schon immer eine große Faszination für die brasilianische Kultur und Musik des Bossa Nova. Durch die Freundschaft des Sängers Alessandro Grinzato mit der brasilianischen Sängerin Maria Ivete Nascimento de Souza, wurde aus der Faszination ein konkretes Projekt, zu dem auch der Pianist und Arrangeur Maurizio De Gasperi wichtige Impulse lieferte. Unter der kundigen und bewährten Anleitung des Musikproduzenten Gregor Marini begann die Studioarbeit im Januar 2018 und wurde bereits im Sommer erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Während der Aufnahmen entstand auch die Idee, einen brasilianischen Kinderchor in das Projekt zu integrieren. Durch Vermittlung von Ivete de Souza war der Coral de crincias de Sao Paulo, ein Chor im Rahmen eines Sozialprojektes für Kinder, bereit, einen authentischen brasilianischen Beitrag zum CD Projekt zu leisten.
