A Malaysian lyricist and writer. Famous for his lyrical contribution in the Malaysian Traditional Music genre. Hits such as Cindai, Hati Kama, Dikir Puteri, Dondang Dendang, Tinting, Yayadan, Samrah Mentari, Ya Maulai, Balqis, Maharaja, Dirgahayu, Di Taman Teman, Pintu Rindu, Tahajjud Cinta and Sesuci Lebaran. He was born on 2nd March 1975 in Pulau Pinang and was raised in Batu Kurau, Perak. Early education at SK Kg Yaman, Batu Kurau, SM Dato’ Kamaruddin Batu Kurau dan SM Vokasional Kuala Kangsar, Perak. At SMVKK, he was also known by his pen name Megamutiara. He was a very active writer and had won numerous prizes at school and state level.He was a graduate of Akademi Seni Kebangsaan or now better known as ASWARA and had received a Diploma in Creative Writing. He has produced more than 100 lyrics.he has won Anugerah Juara Lagu TV3 in 1998 (Cindai – Overall champion), 1999 (Hati Kama – Category champion) dan 2000 (Balqis – Overall champion). Anugerah Planet Muzik 2001 - Most popular song in South East Asia (Balqis), Juara Lagu TV3 2005 - Juara Antara Juara (Cindai - People's Choice/Vote) dan MACP Awards 2006 -The Most popular Song in the 90s (Cindai).
